Improving Combustion Technology for Cooking Activities for Pollutant Emission Reduction and Carbon Neutrality

Inefficient residential solid fuel combustion contributes significantly to ambient and indoor air pollutants. It consumes large quantities of produces harmful effects on health. Improvements in biomass cooking stoves have great potential for energy savings emission reduction. This study presents an advanced gasifier stove overcome the disadvantages high-pollutant emissions from widely used China. The most innovative features are (1) negative pressure produced by a jet fan located at junction chimney, (2) carbonization processes taking place same chamber. Compared with traditional chimney stove, presented higher TE (thermal efficiency) comprehensively lower pollutant when raw crop straws, straw briquettes, pellets were burned it. Approximately 40% CO2 90% PM2.5 (the aerodynamic diameter was less than or equal 2.5 ?m) EFs (emission factors) eliminated, drastically tripled.
